Love At First Sight
The love between a parent and their child is deep. From the moment that I knew I had a child somewhere, I was in love with her. We were connected before I knew where she was, if she were born, how it would all come to pass. She was my child - I just had to find her. But, when I finally got to see her face, it was just like childbirth and finally getting to see the baby you had carried for 9 months. How could I not fall in love with this face! The most beautiful girl in all the world.
The first image I saw of our daughter, Hai Zhi Yi, soon to be Anna Mei Yi Gross was love at first sight. I knew this was the child that God had burdened me about. Because of circumstances unknown to me, this child needed a family - and we are blessed that He chose us. We are humbled at His mercies and provisions to bring our daughter home. We are thankful that the birthmother loved her enough to make sure she would be found.
This is the story of Anna, our journey to be united with our daughter and the miracle of our adoption story.
